Eric Pommer
Eric Pommer has 40 years of experience in the management of various high-tech, manufacturing, and service companies. He consults on all aspects of business operations, including customer and supplier relations, employee relations, joint ventures, private and public financing, crowdfunding, the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, SDB/SBA Programs, corporate governance, and the sale and acquisition of businesses.
In addition to legal work, he has been involved in operations management, business process design, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, commercial and government contracts administration. He was both in-house counsel and a member of the software development team for Tesseract Computer Services that first computerized the grain industry in North America and provided one of the first law office management computer systems. He directly managed both RDT&E hardware projects and software development programs for companies such as Martin Marietta Aerospace, Abex Aerospace, and Geo InSight International.
Mr. Pommer served as the in-house general counsel of Xertech Inc. and, prior to that, both general counsel and corporate secretary of TechnoConcepts Inc., both U.S. publicly traded companies. He also served as director for several private companies, including Geo InSight International, Broadband Telecom, and Pacific Investment Bank. His clients currently range from local and national small-to-medium businesses to international companies, including one crowdfunded company.
Mr. Pommer received an MS in Systems Management from USC, a JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and a BA from Pomona College. A member of the California Bar Association since shortly after graduating law school, Mr. Pommer was elected a Fellow of the National Contract Management Association and published an article in the Public Contracts Law Journal at 25 Pub.Cont.L.J. 249. He has also taught classes in Contract Law and in Negotiations at the UCLA/UCSB Extension and conducted numerous workshops and seminars at various business conferences.
Since 1991, Mr. Pommer has been a member of the adjunct faculty of the Southern California Institute of Law, where he has taught Entertainment Law, Federal Government Contracting Law, Wills & Trusts, Legal Skills Training, Corporations Law, and Business Organizations Law, among others. He currently also serves as Vice Dean of the law school.
